Component names are a shared, translatable vocabulary — typed once, suggested everywhere, and shown to shoppers in their own language.
Typing a name in the Bill of Material tab or the assessment Components step uses a searchable dropdown that suggests existing names and offers a Create option for new ones. Entries match case-insensitively, so Main and MAIN collapse to one.
Each entry is translatable per language. Suppliers type in their own language, admins see the name in theirs, and the rest is completed in a manager at Settings → Configuration → Component Names — a searchable list showing how many translations each name has, with create, edit and delete.
During assessment review, an amber “Add missing translations” pill flags names still missing translations in your enabled languages. On the public product page, component names display in the viewer's language and fall back to English.
Composition codes and material names are unchanged. Assessments submitted before this release are not linked to the vocabulary and will not show the pill.
