Add and enable a Digital Product Passport Button

Add a button that opens the Digital Product Passport, with the Materials, Certificates, and Traceability sections turned on.

  1. Click the Settings icon to open the experience configuration panel.
  2. Select the checkbox to enable the Digital Product Passport.
  3. Once the Digital Product Passport button is enabled, the Material, Certificates, and Traceability tabs/buttons will be automatically checked. This means all three sections will appear inside the Digital Product Passport button.
  4. You can always uncheck any section you don't want to appear in the Digital Product Passport button.
  5. From here, you can choose whether the selected sections will appear as buttons or tabs within the Digital Product Passport button.
  6. From here, select the button style. We recommend using the Primary button style.
  7. You can enter your Product Passport subtitle in the input field. This will be displayed when the Digital Product Passport button is opened.
  8. From here, you can add new pages you've created. They will appear as buttons in the Digital Product Passport button page. You can also reorder the buttons.
  9. To reorder the buttons, click and drag the dots next to a tab (e.g., Material) to change its position within the selected pages. This controls the order of buttons users see after clicking the Digital Product Passport button.
  10. To add a new internal page, first click on Select.
  11. Next, select the page you want to add.
  12. Now you will see that the General page has been added and will appear as a button when you click the Digital Product Passport button.
  13. Afterwards, click the Save button to save all your changes to the experience.
  14. Click the Digital Product Passport button to assign an action so it becomes clickable.
  15. From here, choose the action for your button. For the Digital Product Passport, select the predefined "Product Passport" action. This will automatically apply the settings you configured earlier.
  16. Click the Digital Product Passport button to preview it.
  17. This is how it looks after all changes are applied.
  18. Next, click the Save button to preserve all your experience configuration changes.
