- To begin, click Library in the left sidebar to access your product library.
- Next, click Products to view and manage your products.
- Locate the product you want to edit. Click on the arrow icon to open the product details.
- Click the Bill of Material tab to manage the product's Bill of Material. If BOM sync is setup, this is where we can see product components and bill of material.
- Bill Of Material can be Imported from a file or added manually.
- Click Add Bill of Material to manually add a new component.
- Enter a name for the Bill of Material component in the Name field.
- Option 1: Select Define composition to manually enter the material composition.
- Click on the Composition field to select composition from the dropdown.
- Enter Composition %.
- Add additional compositions the same way. Remember Compositions must add up to 100%.
- Optionally you can select claim for selected compositions.
- You can choose one of the default values, such as Recycled or Organic, or select "Other" from the dropdown menu to add a custom value.
- or Option 2: Select Use existing material to link a previously created material.
- Select the desired material to automatically populate the composition.
- Click the Save button to apply the changes.
- A Bill of Material can also be imported from a file.
- Click Download Template to export the import template file.
- Add some hotspot text here.
- Drag and drop the file or Click on "or browse files" to add product components and compositions to the product.
- Data will populate automatically.
- Click Import from file and select the completed template to upload the Bill of Material.
- Drag and drop the file or Click on "or browse files" to add product components and materials to the product.
- Variants will inherit parent bill of material with option to customize per variant.
Add a Bill of Materials (BOM) to a Product
Add component-by-component material data manually, or import a Bill of Materials from a template, composition must total 100%.
