Material compositions are selected from a standard list, pre-loaded with industry-standard fibre codes from ISO 2076 and ISO 6938 and covering common materials, each with translations in ten languages — so the same fibre is recorded the same way every time.
A Composition Codes tab under Settings → Configuration lets admins view, search, filter and manage the codes. Standard ISO codes are marked with a lock icon, and custom codes can be added for materials not in the ISO list. When editing compositions on products, materials or assessments, you pick from a searchable dropdown.
Suppliers select from the same dropdown in assessments, and previously entered compositions appear correctly. On product passports, composition names display in the viewer's language.
All existing data is preserved, and external integrations continue to work unchanged — composition names sent by external systems are recognised and linked to the correct code automatically.
