Each digital ID attribute carries a Tappr Single Connect setting, under Settings → Configuration → Attributes → Digital ID, with three options: Hidden, Optional or Required.
Attributes set to Optional or Required appear on the manufacturer's phone when they scan a tag, and the input matches the attribute type — a text box, a number pad, a native date picker, a Yes/No switch, a searchable country list, an address search, or a file upload offering the camera or the phone's files. Required attributes are filled before the product can be assigned.
On a tag that already has a product, a single Edit button opens the product and its attribute values together, prefilled. Values saved this way appear on the tag's Digital ID attributes tab in Brand Cloud.
The setting defaults to Hidden, so nothing changes until an admin turns an attribute on. Hidden attributes are never shown to manufacturers, and values stored by an admin or a data sync are never altered by a manufacturer's save. What appears on the public passport is controlled by the separate passport visibility setting.
Three behaviours worth knowing: a Yes/No attribute starts at No, so a Required one counts as answered even if untouched; if an admin changes the attribute setup while a manufacturer has the form open, they are asked to review and submit again; and if the attribute list cannot load on a poor connection, the manufacturer can still assign the product, in which case no attribute values are saved. File uploads are limited to images and documents up to 10 MB.
Multi Connect and the retailer product-assignment flow are unchanged.
