An identifier containing a slash used to be cut off at the first one, so scanning such a link showed a “no product found” page. The full identifier is now kept, across SKU links, style links, GTIN plus digital ID, SKU plus digital ID, digital ID alone, and the internal pid link.
The slash can also appear encoded as %2F in printed links, and double slashes are kept as they are. The same identifiers now work on the Brand Cloud product and digital ID pages, on the Retailer Platform product page and warranty claims, and in the consumer flows for claiming, registering, contacting the owner, transferring ownership and reporting a product found.
The staff barcode scanner also reads two link types it previously ignored: SKU-based links and digital-ID-only links.
A value is read until the next recognised GS1 code — 01 (GTIN), 10 (lot), 11 (production date), 21 (serial or digital ID), 240 (SKU) and 8013 (style). Two things follow. An identifier that contains one of those codes as its own part is still split at that code. And codes outside that list, such as 17 for an expiry date, are absorbed into the identifier, so a link like /01/<GTIN>/17/<date> now shows not found where it previously opened the product — worth checking if any of your printed links carry extra codes.
