Ticking hide supplier data on a traceability step hides that supplier in that traceability only. Their name and logo are removed from the DPP when a shopper scans the product, and the location is reduced to an approximate point in the country.
Whether a supplier's public profile page opens now follows two settings: the account-wide hide supplier data setting, and the supplier's own setting — always hide, always show, or follow the account setting. The supplier-level setting takes precedence.
To keep a supplier off public pages entirely, set them to Always hide on their supplier record. A tick on a single traceability step no longer does this on its own.
When a passport is opened with a batch number, only the steps in that batch are considered. Suppliers already set to hide at supplier level stay hidden, and staff and distributor accounts continue to see full supplier data.
