A compliance dashboard can be limited to a chosen slice of your catalogue based on product or supplier attribute values, so discontinued lines, samples and anything else you don't intend to passport are left out of the measurement.
Each compliance rule carries an attribute scope. A rule can say category is one of woman shoes, man shoes, or lifecycle is none of discontinued, and only the matching products are evaluated. Rules can exclude as well as include, so a product you never intended to measure stays out of the denominator and completeness percentages reflect the real state of your data.
Eight operators are available: is one of, is none of, contains, does not contain, starts with, ends with, is set, and is not set. Conditions combine with AND; values within one condition combine with OR. Matching ignores capitalisation, so Yes, yes and YES are the same value.
The most common setup is an exclude-from-compliance attribute set to Yes on the products to skip. Everything else stays in the dashboard, including products explicitly marked No and products where the attribute was never filled in.
The same mechanism is available for supplier compliance dashboards, using supplier attributes.
