Suppliers can copy components from their own previously-submitted products, so a shared construction is entered once rather than re-keyed per product.
The BOM editor has a Copy BOM from another product action that opens a two-step panel. Step one lists the supplier's previously-submitted products with their part counts, and shows an opened product's components with checkboxes; picked components collect in a cart across multiple products. Products whose BOM has not been accepted yet appear too, marked “Not approved yet — OK to copy”.
Step two states, per component, what will happen: a new name shows “will be added”, an existing name shows what it replaces. Ticking “Add as new instead” keeps both and auto-names the copy.
The current assessment's own products are excluded, so a BOM cannot be copied onto itself. Only traceability tiers the target product tracks are copied. The panel is localised in ten languages.
